okay theres prolly like 1 person in my friend group who knows about this thing and that says a lot knowing I have no friends which is why I’m posting this here. anyways. y’all know that icebreaker question “if you have 2 slices of bread and you can only put 2 things between them which would you choose?”

well this is my very scientific take on this problem (matpat please notice me.) see, it all depends on how we define “thing.” if it’s just something that can’t be separated then a thing is basically a quark or lepton, and if that’s the case we’re all screwed. however, my preferred definition of a thing (side note: why did autocorrect suggest “preferred EMBODIMENT” just now? anyways) is something that is tangible and a noun in the English language (I’m choosing English because I mean why not)

now, with this definition, a camera is a thing. and so is a dog. and a cactus, though I doubt anyone here actually dared to touch a cactus except me. and so is a pizza, despite it being made of other tangible nouns (my god my sense of humour is terrible I literally laughed at that-)

heck, even the entire universe is a thing. so, my approach? just create two sandwiches with all the ingredients you actually want and sandwich the sandwiches into the original two tangible noun sandwich. I mean, you could consider this cheating, so let’s move on to part 2:

what if all sandwiches in this hypothetical universe are 2 tangible noun sandwiches? then we simply use recursion! (or do the same trick with tacos because there aren’t any restrictions on those.) or if you really like purely sandwich infinite sandwiches (*side note from narrator: at this stage suriya has completely lost her train of thought so don’t even bother,) then you have to take the first two tangible nouns, sandwich them, take the second two, and then you have two sandwiches. sandwich the two sandwiches to create one big sandwich. repeat the process until all your tangible nouns are sandwiched into two large (or small) sandwiches, and after sandwich those together!

tada! you have sandwiched a sandwich and I have lost my mind.
